When I first wrote the original program inI had no idea that I'd be able to expand the program into what it is today. This allows for more volume at heavier weights and thus makes the program more specific to powerlifting.

These programs exist simply to waste paper, space, and time. Again, Wendler seems to have come to this conclusion himself. Most people won't want to hear it.

At the end of each month, you increase your training max weight on the lower-body movements, the squat and the deadlift, by 10lbs; you increase your training max on the upper-body movements, the bench and the press, by 5lbs.

The joker sets are ingenious and there are plenty of opportunities for the more advanced lifter to customize and tweak the programming even further.
